The fountain itself was built in 1864 and represents the Roman Goddess Flora, the Goddess of Abundance. Today it is a heritage structure. It cost Rs. 47,000 to build, a princely sum at the time and was constructed by the Agri-Horticultural Society of Western India. Cursetjee Fardoonjee Parekh donated Rs.20,000 towards the construction of this fountain. The fountain was carved from stone that was imported from Portland. It was built in honour of Sir Bartle Frere, who was the Governor of Bombay at the time. Sir Frere was responsible for dismantling Bombay Fort and shaping much of modern Mumbai.

Admitting that the Line of Heart indicates a smaller or larger amount of loving power, I find that the Girdle of Venus - the principal meaning of which is that of extreme sensuality - acts, in reality, as a sort of influence line over the said Line, increasing the revealed tendency toward physical passion,
Again, the Lines of Union, which I shall prove to be not Lines of Marriage -as usually believed - but mere Lines of Attachment, with or without the sanction of law or priest, do necessarily receive a great deal of influence from the Line of Heart which runs parallel to them, terminating - as they do - on the Mount of Mercury, which they enter from the Percussion.

If not for the fact that it lies on the Ecliptic, and is therefore part of the zodiac, Cancer would be a rather inconspicuous group of stars. It is home to the relatively nearby Beehive/Praesepe complex of star clusters.
Clearly noted by stargazers as an open cluster of stars, home of Praesepe, also known as the “Beehive Cluster” this is the constellation of Cancer. The cluster is 577 light years away and approximately 730 million years old. The cluster has at least 250 stars and possibly up to as much as 350.
